چکیده

Controller parameterization is a very fundamental problem in control theory. It provides an elegant and efficient way towards solving the stabilizing and design problem, with which all stabilizing controllers are characterized and thus a constrained design procedure can be replaced by an unconstrained optimization. In this paper we deal with the problem of characterizing all stabilizing controllers for single-input/singleoutput (SISO) plants with time delay and multi-input/multi-output (MIMO) plants with multiple time delays. A new parameterization is derived on the basis of the definition of the internal stability. The new parameterization does not depend on the coprime factorization of the plant and has similar form to that of the Youla parameterization for stable plants. An important merit of the proposed parameterization is that it reflects the internal model control (IMC) structure and thus has a very simple relationship to the sensitivity function and complementary sensitivity function. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the proposed parameterization. © 2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Identification and Control of MIMO Systems with State Time Delay (Short Communication)

Time-delay identification is one of the most important parameters in designing controllers. In the cases where the number of inputs and outputs in a system are more than one, this identification is of great concern. In this paper, a novel autocorrelation-based scheme for the state variable time-delay identification for multi-input multi-output (MIMO) system has been presented. This method is ba...

Emotional Learning Based Intelligent Controller for MIMO Peripheral Milling Process

During the milling process, one of the most important factors in reducing tool life expectancy and quality of workpiece is the chattering phenomenon due to self-excitation. The milling process is considered as a MIMO strongly coupled nonlinear plant with time delay terms in cutting forces. We stabilize the plant using two independent Emotional Learning-based Intelligent Controller (ELIC) in par...

In this paper, the design of a distributed adaptive controller for a class of unknown non-affine MIMO strict-feedback multi agent systems with time delay has been performed under a directed graph. The controller design is based on dynamic surface control  method. In the design process, radial basis function neural networks (RBFNNs) were employed to approximate the unknown nonlinear functions. l1-Optimal Robust Iterative Learning Controller Design

In this paper we consider the robust iterative learning control (ILC) design problem for SISO discretetime linear plants subject to unknown, bounded disturbances. Using the supervector formulation of ILC, we apply a Youla parameterization to pose a MIMO l1-optimal control problem. The problem is analyzed for three situations: (1) the case of arbitrary ILC controllers that use current iteration ...

A New Approach for QFT-type Robust Controller Design in Uncertain Multivariable Systems

This paper presents a robust controller design methodology for a class of linear uncertain multivariable systems with hard time-domain constraints on their outputs and control signals in response to step disturbance inputs. In this approach, the m×m MIMO system is replaced by m2 SISO systems and then, using the QFT technique, desirable controllers are synthesized. The final controller will be d...
